Hello, I'm Olivia
I work as a project manager. I'm a parent. I live abroad as an expatriate in New York, United States.
A few years ago I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter in life overseas.
How It All Began
Moving to United States wasn’t in the long-term plan. Like many expat moves, it kicked off as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far bigger.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, fresh expectations. Routine tasks seemed more complex than expected.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning on the job. Yet gradually, routines settled in. We found places that suited us, connected with other families, and started building something that felt steady.
Why I Created QuelaPaviAraVyncav
Most information online was either corporate relocation advice or shallow tourism material. What was missing was an honest, everyday family perspective.
This site aims to fill that gap — practical guidance drawn from real life in United States.
What This Site Represents (And What It Does Not)
This site IS:
- Hands-on experience from living in United States
- Centered on family life and everyday realities
- Updated whenever something genuinely changes
This site ISN'T:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- Not a platform for sponsored reviews
- Not a generic travel blog
Looking Forward
Our time in United States continues, and so does the learning process. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll keep documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in New York or anywhere in United States, please feel free to contact us.
Warm regards,
Olivia
